Surrey Hills 3: Box Hill

Posted on 2 September 20182 April 2021 by Rob Ainsley

Surrey Hills Cycle Route Research finished today with Box Hill, a secret known only to me and 15,000 other cyclists on this baking hot sunny day.

Installation at foot of Box Hill on roundabout outside Dorking. Most interesting thing in Dorking, except for reduced aisle in Waitrose.
View back down Zig Zag Road during ascent of Box Hill. Number of cyclists who overtook me: of the order of ten to the two. Number of cyclists I overtook: of the order of zero.
Viewpoint view. Dorking clearly all downhill from here. I got the train back home from Dorking.
