Stratford 1: Shall I compare thee? No

Posted on 4 October 20182 April 2021 by Rob Ainsley

Beautiful October day doing more cycle route research, this time round Shakespeare’s Stratford and the Cotswolds. Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Obviously not, ‘cos it’s October.

Two Boats, Long Itchington, on the Grand Union Canal. Sadly, my budget doesn’t extend to drinking in every pub on the route. Sadlier, my budget doesn’t extend to drinking in any pub on the route.

Dover’s Hill, just north of Chipping Campden, offering majestic views over the vale.

Chipping Campden, just south of Dover’s Hill, offering majestic views of cafes, shops, and parked 4x4s that have never had a speck of mud on them.

Broadway Tower. More majestic views that take your breath away. As does the price of a hot drink or sausage roll at the nearby cafe.
