Edinburgh 1: View from the Seat

Posted on 14 September 20192 April 2021 by Rob Ainsley

Cycle route research round Edinburgh, one of my favourite Scottish capitals.

Setting off from Arthur’s Seat. I wonder if Arthur used anti-chafing cream.
Heading for Gladhouse Reservoir. Indication of how busy the back roads are.
Examples of chunky, heavy, but reliable Victorian ironwork. The bridge, the postbox, and the bicycle.
The Knock. Sounds like something cyclists suffer when they bike up and over the Bathgate Alps without a substantial enough lunch, but it’s the name of the panorama point there.
