Ingleton 3: Like a limestone pavement

Final day of research in Yorkshire Dales. Glorious weather, and wonderful views all day, such as the Queen’s Arms about five miles from nowhere. I’ve never enjoyed a cycling day more.

Upper Wharfedale, with a river bed like a limestone pavement, which made me think of Randy Edelman.

Top of Fleet Moss, just 500m from Hawes. Vertically. With two panniers full of tonight’s dinner and wine, that meant pushing quite a bit.
Queen’s Arms. Cyclists welcome, it says. Especially thirsty ones.
