Wirral: Prom season

Posted on 27 September 202019 October 2021 by Rob Ainsley

Cycle route research on the Wirral Peninsula, on a bright sunny day that was chillier than it looks. The traffic-free prom path from Hoylake to Birkenhead is miles long and was packed today.

Parkgate: Not the cones I had in mind
Watch out for the tide: Hoylake, with the Hilbre Islands in the distance
Secure facility: The old fort at Perch Rock
The ferry is that way: Prom path down to Egremont
Is that bloke on the horse John, Paul, George or Ringo? Liverpool skyline from the famous ferry
