Church Stretton 2: A cycling writer’s work is never done

Posted on 25 March 20192 April 2021 by Rob Ainsley

Final cycle route research round beautiful Church Stretton on a glorious sunny day. All I need for the article is a local pub to recommend, so my work isn’t quite yet done before the train home leaves later this afternoon.

Coming down from Stiperstones towards the Long Mynd. Had the entire landscape to myself except for one mad and dangerous driver, but fortunately he was on a quad bike rounding up sheep in the next field.
Panorama in Cardingmill Valley, where I had picnic lunch in the sunshine in wonderful tranquillity. Until the Duke of Edinburgh group turned up.
