Tunbridge Wells 2: Tree little words

Posted on 18 November 20202 April 2021 by Rob Ainsley

Day 2 of my cycle route research round Tunbridge Wells involved visits to Sevenoaks, Four Elms, and One Tree Hill. So you can guess the day’s theme. Hills.

Hartfield, AA Milne’s home, boasts the actual House at Pooh Corner. And a sign that says ‘Pooh Corner’. Outside a different house.
No, that chunk bitten out this jumbo Fly Agaric is nothing to do with me. I don’t take artificial stimulants, as anyone who’s struggled to match my slow cycling pace can confirm.
This sign is a LIE. There are NO mountains.
Penshurst offered a very rare view in Kent: lovely historic houses and cottages that aren’t blocked by parked SUVs with personal number plates.
